Advantest America Volunteers to Build Playhouses for Local Charity

On May 20, employees from Advantest’s San Jose office partnered with Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley to build two playhouses to donate to local children in need. Employees and their families built the playhouses together, cutting large wooden planks to construct the exterior and decorating the walls with bright colors. The volunteers enjoyed the opportunity to give back to the community with their families.

Advantest Philippines Celebrates Founding Day 2023 with Tree Planting Event

On July 7, Advantest Philippines partnered with the Baguio City Environment and Parks Management Office to participate in a Tree Planting Day at the Baguio Botanical Gardens. Baguio City, known as the “summer capital of the Philippines,” intends to plant more trees on public and private land as a larger effort to combat deforestation and overdevelopment. Advantest Philippines participated in this activity in conjunction with celebrating their Founding Day, highlighting the importance of sustainability to Advantest’s core values.

Student Engineering Academy    (SIA) Visits Advantest Boeblingen

As part of Advantest’s ongoing efforts to support local schools and the development of the future workforce, Advantest Europe has once again hosted the Student Engineering Academy (SIA) in Boeblingen. Advantest hosted 16 eleventh-grade students this year for a tour of their R&D facilities and prepared a hands-on project for them to improve their technical knowledge of smoldering. We hope that offering insight into the daily work of an Advantest engineer will expand students’ interest in semiconductor engineering and encourage their passion for learning.

Advantest announced in March that it had been recognized under the 2023 Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program, which is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi (Japan Health Council), as one of the organizations in the large enterprise category. At the same time, METI has certified Advantest as one of the “White 500”—the top 500 corporations recognized under the program—for the third consecutive year. This year, for the first time, all seven of Advantest’s domestic subsidiaries were certified.

Since formulating its Declaration of Health and Productivity Management Policy in September 2019, Advantest has been working together with domestic subsidiaries, health insurance unions, and labor unions to encourage employees to get health checkups, improve the adoption rate of specific health guidance, and implement mental health services.

Advantest will continue to strive to create a workplace where each employee can work in good physical and mental health and will contribute as a corporate citizen to the development of humanity’s sustainable future.
